LG's NEW Multi-F Systems are equipped with LGRED° Heat Technology featuring low temperature heating down to -13°F!
LG's new line of multi-zone systems is here! With lower operating temperatures, these new Flex Multi Systems can provide year round comfort virtually anywhere in the US.
The Multi-F / Flex Systems are not only cost and energy efficient, they are also able to offer comfort year round with enhanced cooling and heating ranges. Featuring LGRED° HeatTechnology, this system can be used as a primary heat source in most of the country. It can be operated in the heating mode when temperatures get down as low as -13°F and it will perform at 100% heating capacity! The system will also provide low ambient cooling to 14°F. Add a Low Ambient Kit (sold separately) for cooling operation down to -4°F.
The LG LMU180HHV is an 18,000 BTU configurable dual-zone mini split air conditioning and heating system. LG's Flex Multi-Split Dual Zone air conditioner system gives you the opportunity to install two indoor units in separate areas of your home. With a combined connectivity BTU rating of up to 24,000 the LMU180HHV can be configured to include a combination of wall mounted and ceiling units. When connected with non-ducted units only, the system maintains its Energy Star Qualification.
Each unit operates with its own remote or thermostat (depending on the units you choose), so there is no need to condition the room you are not using. The LMU180HHV can be easily installed without major renovations. Individual line sets are required for each indoor unit (sold separately), and only require about a small 3” hole for each unit. The line sets run from each indoor unit to the outdoor unit.
Standard features of the LMU180HHV outdoor unit include an energy efficient variable speed inverter compressor, defrost/deicing capabilities, three minute restart delay, and a self diagnosis system. It also includes soft start which reduces power surges on the electrical system. It operates when the outside temperature is as low as 14°F in the cooling mode (down to -4°F with a low ambient kit installed) and from -13°F to 75°F in the heating mode. To top it all off, it uses environmentally friendly R-410A refrigerant and is precharged for up to 49.2’ of line.

THIS IS THE INDOOR UNIT ONLY. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR THE FULL SINGLE ZONE SYSTEM (INCLUDING THE INDOOR AND OUTDOOR UNITS). IT IS ALSO COMPATIBLE WITH MULTI-ZONE SYSTEMS.
LG's flex, multi-split systems operate up to 8 interior units which are each mounted in a separate room. Each indoor unit has its own remote control, so each room can be set to different temperatures. The individual units are connected to a single exterior unit.
The Standard Wall Unit is available in several different sizes: LMN078HVT 7,000 BTUs, LSN090HSV4 9,000 BTUs, LSN120HSV4 12,000 BTUs, LMN157HVT 15,000 BTUs, LSN180HSV4 18,000 BTUs, and LMN247HVT 24,000 BTUs.The 9000 BTUs will cool a room that is about 400 sq. ft. or about 20' x 20'. Factors such as windows, doors, computers and ceiling height must be factored in when calculating the BTUs you need for your specific installation requirements.
Features of the Standard Wall unit include:
- Chaos Swing: Electronically controlled louvers and fan speeds create a more natural, random air flow thereby reducing temperature stratification.
- Jet Cool/Jet Heat: Operates at high speed for up to 30 minutes to quickly cool a room down to 64°F
- Self-Cleaning Indoor Coil: Drives dirt and moisture from coil surface leaving it clean and fresh smelling.
- Auto Operation (Artificial Intelligence): Provides three levels of comfort from which to choose. Temperature and fan speed will set automatically.
- Auto Restart Operation: Automatically restarts a unit to programmed setting when the electricity comes on after a power failure.
- 24 Hour On/Off Timer
- LG Smart AC WiFi compatible
The interior unit includes all installation hardware needed, a wireless LCD remote, batteries, holder and holder hardware.
The The Single Zone or Multi F Max System must be installed by a qualified, licensed HVAC technician. Manufacturer covers parts only under warranty. Installer is responsible for labor warranty.
